Sju Sjöar and the surrounding lakes at dusk – The Northern Star

Find your direction within.

A week to pause, listen and explore how you lead yourself. The Northern Star brings together silence, nature and personal reflection at Sju Sjöar, away from the pace of everyday life.

From 24–30 May 2027, Jeanette and Johan Bergelin welcome a small group to the place they call home. There is time to explore your strengths, recognise familiar patterns and reflect on the next chapter of your life.

An international retreat – held entirely in English

Limited to 12 participants, selected through a personal application process. All guidance and group conversations take place in English.

Silence and nature are part of the experience from the very first days.

From stillness to self leadership.

The first days begin in silence. You are invited to set everyday roles aside and pay attention to what is easily lost in the noise. From there, breathwork, reflection, movement and time together are woven through the four elements:

  • Air. Breath, communication and fresh perspectives.
  • Water. Connecting with emotions and the body through movement, cold water immersion and sauna.
  • Fire. Courage and action through firewalking, Nordic fire ceremony and drumming.
  • Earth. Time in the forest, grounding and bringing your insights home.

Participation respects your individual boundaries and needs. No activity is compulsory.

Meet Jeanette and Johan.

Jeanette and Johan Bergelin, hosts of The Northern Star

The Northern Star is guided by Jeanette and Johan Bergelin – entrepreneurs, coaches and retreat leaders who live and work at Sju Sjöar.

Jeanette’s work centres on personal development and inner direction. Johan brings breathwork, firewalking and experience in entrepreneurship and leadership.

Together, they invite you into a personal setting shaped by nature and the connections between people.

Your journey begins with an application.

To create a small, carefully considered group, participation is by application only. Explore the full programme and terms on The Northern Star website and consider whether the retreat is right for you.
